"This outstanding look at our venture to the Moon combines a generous array of full color photos and ably captures both the magnitude of the technological achievement and that heady feeling of going where none had gone before."
School Library Journal

"Highly recommended, FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON is a reader friendly and comprehensive chronicle of Moon exploration impressively illustrated with photography and drawings throughout."
(Children's Book Watch)

"When I was kid I went to the Moon...

I was 9 years-old when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon. I remember how we got to stay up late. The pictures on our black-and-white TV were blurry, but the voices of the astronauts were surprisingly clear. Then I saw Neil Armstrong's foot touch the moon and heard him say "That's one small step..." At that moment I was there, inside that space suit. I was on the Moon. Suddenly my world was limitless.

I was 12 when the last footprints were left on the Moon. By then, twelve astronauts had walked on the Moon, and a total of twenty-four had crossed the vast ocean of space that separates the Earth and Moon.

I wrote FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON for the newest generation of kids who believe their world is limitless. Enjoy the adventure!
