"When I was kid I went to the Moon...![]() I was 9 years-old when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon. I remember how we got to stay up late. The pictures on our black-and-white TV were blurry, but the voices of the astronauts were surprisingly clear. Then I saw Neil Armstrong's foot touch the moon and heard him say "That's one small step..." At that moment I was there, inside that space suit. I was on the Moon. Suddenly my world was limitless. I was 12 when the last footprints were left on the Moon. By then, twelve astronauts had walked on the Moon, and a total of twenty-four had crossed the vast ocean of space that separates the Earth and Moon. I wrote FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON for the newest generation of kids who believe their world is limitless. Enjoy the adventure! |
